About the book
Dr. Schwarzwald Bear is the hero of our stories. He might be a little bumbly at times, but he is afraid of (almost) nothing and helps the famous Sir James through the most difficult of adventures. He is very proud of several things, but most of all that the great Alexander von Humboldt paid him the compliment: „Für Dr. Bear ist nichts zu schwer!“, engraved above the entrance of “Gattini’s”, the restaurant in Florence that he inherited from the mysterious Don Gattino.
